JOHOR BARU: The family of a snatch theft victim who went into a coma after falling from her motorcycle is praying for her speedy recovery so she can celebrate Hari Raya with her loved ones, particularly her newborn son.
Azhar Md Ali, the husband of snatch theft victim Sanorfizah Saleh, 31, who has been in a coma since Oct 20, said:
“My family and I are praying very hard that she will get well and return home to celebrate Raya with our family, especially our children.”
“My children have been asking about their mother and it breaks my heart to tell them of Sanorfizah’s condition,” said Azhar, 33, at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Sultanah Aminah Hospital here yesterday.
He said Sanorfizah began to respond to him and even tried to open her eyes when he called her name.
Azhar said that he had not told Sanorfizah that she had given birth to a baby boy, adding that their son Amirul Naim was being looked after by his brother in Gombak.
The couple’s five other children – all boys – are with their relatives in Pasir Gudang and Tampin.
Sanorfizah is under strict supervision by hospital authorities after her plight was published in the media.
On Oct 20, Sanorfizah was riding a motorcycle to Pasir Gudang from her home in Kampung Cahaya Baru in Masai to collect goods from a direct-selling stockist.
As she was travelling along Jalan Pesiaran in Taman Cendana, a pillion rider on another motorcycle, which had come from behind, snatched her handbag from the bike’s front carrier.
One of them also kicked her motorcycle, causing the expectant mother to lose her balance and fall.
She fell unconscious after hitting her head on the road.

9T9: Hoping everything will getting better for this family... (hopefully). Especially for this coming Hari Raya. Just praying for them, lets this incident will reminds the rest of us... that "snatch theft" problem was not others problem... Its OURS. Imbalanced in certain aspect creates thiss kind ofdevil among us.
