Don to give talk on Confucianism

PETALING JAYA: The director of the Harvard-Yenching Institute, Prof Tu Weiming, will give a talk on "Confucianism in a Globalising World" at Menara Star on Nov 3.
The one-hour talk, to start at 11am, will be chaired by Prof Wang Gungwu and is organised by Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (Utar) and the Asian Centre for Media Studies.
Born in 1940 in Kunming, China, Prof Tu has published more than 10 books in English and Chinese primarily focusing on the modern transformation of Confucian humanism.
A five-volume collection of his works was issued in China in 2001.
Prof Tu is a member of Utar's International Advisory Panel and is also a board member of the Chinese Heritage Centre in Singapore.
