When you wearing the wrong BRA
[Sci Medical & Health]
Ok hopefully nobody will twisted my question to "When you wearing BRA at the wrong place" or "When someone look alike wearing/changing BRA at the wrong place" or "When its wrong to watch someone changing their BRA" or just read this for what's really WRONG actually.
For my real question, pls read below article. Any comment...
Almost 70 per cent of women are not wearing the right size bra, according to a survey.
The Australian Consumers Association asked 12 under-cover shoppers aged 25 to 67 to buy an everyday bra with an emphasis on comfort, then asked three independent corsetieres to test the bras for fit and support.
The results, published in this month's Choice magazine, found that many professional bra fitters in the department and chain stores surveyed were not always doing their job properly.
The fitters squashed breasts into bra cups that were too small or had the wrong shaped underwire, the survey results indicated.
Sixty-eight per cent of the bras bought were a poor fit, despite the in-store fitters recommending them.
The wrong cup size was the most common problem (43 per cent), while almost half the fitters recommended an underwire that was the wrong shape (42 per cent). And 20 per cent of underbands were too loose, with another 20 per cent deemed too tight by the panel of experts.
"The underband plays an important role in supporting the breasts, helping reduce strain on the shoulders," association spokeswoman Lisa Tait said.
"Our experts also found that the side wings and/or the back of the underband weren't wide enough to provide proper support in 35 per cent of cases," she said.
Ms Tait said wearing the wrong size bra could have serious consequences, especially for larger women. Shoulder, neck and back pain are just some of the symptoms caused by wearing the wrong size bra. Others include poor posture, skin irritation and chafing.
Ms Tait also said women tended to have a low expectation of comfort from bras and often went for looks over comfort.
The 49 bras in the study were bought by 12 women with bra sizes ranging from 12B to 20F. Only 16 per cent of bras tested were considered a good fit.
A Myer spokeswoman said the store was surprised by the results and believed staff were well trained through regular training provided by suppliers.
"Every season, there is supplier training to have a look at the new product," the spokeswoman said. "It is about what technical skills are required to fit certain bras... and we make sure we capture new team members every season."
